Anne Brummel "The Understudy"

She went on as Elphaba in the second national tour of Wicked when I saw it in October. I can't even put into words the amazingness of this woman. I was skeptical at first because I had a bad experience with an understudy when I saw the Spamalot tour in December of 2008. I was disappointed that I didn't get to see Marcie Dodd. I had youtubed her to check out her voice before the show was even here. I had no idea what to expect from this 'understudy' and all I can say is I am so glad that I got to see her perform as Elphaba.
